3 Ways Maker Content Creators Can Leverage AI To Grow Their Businesses
You're a Maker, which means you cannot leverage AI since it's a digital tool, right?
Wrong. While AI is not able to build things in your garage (yet), you can still leverage it to handle time consuming tasks on your computer.
Use AI to give you more time in your shop and working on your edits.
Way 1: Research Trending Topics
Staying on top of trends and keeping your content fresh is exhausting.
The internet is coded and classified in massive databases all over the world and AI is better than you are at selectively researching what you're looking for. YouTube and Instagram are also public platforms that the latest AI generations can search through with ease (versus even a few months ago when that wasn't possible). Figure out exactly what you want to be looking for, then set up a recurring AI prompt to feed it back to you on a regular basis.
Plus, writing your prompt and honing it will help you clarify exactly what you're looking for, which will make the results even more valuable.
Way 2: Idea Generator
You already have a list 100 Notion pages deep of ideas, so why use AI to make the list even longer?
If your list is anything like mine, the ideas are a weird combination of extremely detailed and extremely high-level, but nothing in between. Let AI take those high-level ideas and have a conversation around who your audience is, what value you want to provide to them, and then how to flesh out your idea into something you're excited to build. AI can contemplate things like what your audience is currently searching for (see Way 1 above) and combine it in unique ways with the idea you already have.
Plus, reading what AI thinks you should do is a great way to solidify your thoughts because you'll both love some ideas and dig deeper as well as hate others that show you need to go in a different direction (win win).
Way 3: Content Calendar
We all know that successful creators post content consistently.
Much easier said than done (as we all also know). Let AI take some of the more boring things, sprinkle in some insights from Way 1 above, and let it tell you what days you should be posting what. You'll have an even better roadmap for what your week looks like giving you better batching optimizations, you'll be more consistent leading to better growth, and you can even get some of the initial leg work done by having AI outline what your descriptions should include.
Just don't forget to take the copy AI does for your descriptions and rewrite it a bit so it sounds more like you want it to.
