What Newsletter Writers Can Learn From McDonald’s CEO VideoThe McDonald’s CEO (or former I should say) has brought on so many parities that I lost count.

If you live under a rock and somehow haven’t seen it, the CEO tried to taste their new burger in a video, but looked like he had never had a burger in his life before and wanted to be anywhere but there. So, it begs the question: if you don’t like your product (as he said several times in the video in reference to a burger), why should your customers? The same is true for your newsletter subscribers.

If you wouldn’t subscribe to your own newsletter, why should others?

What you can learn from the CEO

The McDonald’s CEO highlighted a fundamental problem: you should like your own product.

However, the only difference between food and Maker techniques is when you use them. You need food everyday, but only need to learn new Maker techniques as needed. But your current self should still want to know the techniques that your past self is teaching you.
